Hello WorshipKitchen fans,
I wanted to share a Word from Psalms 57 with you. As worship leaders, every week you stand before a congregation prepped and ready to lead people in to the presence of God, at an hour so early in the morning most musicians wouldn’t dream of being awake. This Psalm represents how God yearns for each worshiper to show up, with a prepared heart, ready to sing, ready to worship. What if each worshiper showed up with these words on their heart and lips. I thought it was a good follow up to the last post of videos from Kari Jobe’s project with people singing through their trials and triumphs. Enjoy
7-8 I’m ready, God, so ready,
ready from head to toe,
Ready to sing, ready to raise a tune:
“Wake up, soul!
Wake up, harp! wake up, lute!
Wake up, you sleepyhead sun!”
9-10 I’m thanking you, God, out loud in the streets,
singing your praises in town and country.
The deeper your love, the higher it goes;
every cloud is a flag to your faithfulness.
